ABOUT US:
Madra Rua Rock is a Hard Rock band based in Dublin, Ireland, performing tributes to all-time rock and pop classics with a hard rock and heavy metal edge.
Our electrifying gigs feature a wide-ranging and custom setlist spanning all decades, designed to please diverse audiences and make any event shine.
The band is actively performing in the Irish music scene, predominantly in Dublin, with plans to expand nationwide and internationally in the near future. Madra Rua has been invited to play at weddings, private parties and corporate events. They have been one of the resident bands at the Hard Rock Café Dublin and have played in legendary music halls in town, such as Fibber Magees, The Foggy Dew, Arlington Hotel, The Sound House Dublin, among other pubs and music venues.
The name Madra Rua means “Red Dog” (or fox) in Irish Gaelic, and the band likes to say that “it reflects our love for Ireland, as well as our respect for its rich and artistic culture, musical, poetic, and resistance traditions”.
After repeated requests at our gigs for original songs and a presence on streaming platforms, we released our debut single, “For Today,” in February 2026. The track is part of a series of singles that will form a first original album.
